The advance operates properly for a vintage camera this age. Optically the lens is in excellent condition, no scratches, haze or fungus. The focusing wheel is a little stiff. There aperture is smooth with slight oil on the aperture blades. Overall very good cosmetic condition, with minor hair line scratches on the body from normal use, no dings. The camera case is in excellent condition, shows no signs of abuse. The snap closure at the bottom has been replaced and reinforced and is in fine working condition. The technician thought that Nikon must have done the work as it is so well made. To my knowledge this camera has been repair free.Features: Silver chrome finish and "Chrome Dial," shutter speed to 1/1000, 1:1 finder, sync speed dial, single lever rewind.The production for the S2 began December 1954 with #6135000 and was discontinued in June 1958. This camera has been estimated to have been produced about September 1955.The low number of this camera #6147825 in the production line makes it most valuable. Cost of shipping includes insurance.
